Jim Rogers Warns: Prepare , we are on the brink of a very serious collapse that will end with currency turmoil, food shortages, panic, social unrest and a total shakedown of average citizens.

Well known investor Jim Rogers, who made his fortune during the 1970′s crisis by investing in commodities like precious metals, has long-warned about the calamity faced by, not just America, but the world as a whole.

Rogers understands that we are living in perilous times, and that actions by governments, finance ministers and officials across the globe have left us on the brink of a very serious collapse that will end with currency turmoil, food shortages, panic, social unrest and a total shakedown of average citizens.

Now, with Europe having taken the unprecedented step of seizing private funds of depositors, Rogers suggest that time is running short and that those with the means to do so should get ready for the worst:

It’s pretty scary what’s going on in Europe…when they start taking money out of people’s bank accounts. I, for one, am making sure I don’t have too much money in any single bank account anywhere in the world.

Now there is a precedent…The IMF has said loot the bank accounts. The EU has said loot the bank accounts.

So you can be sure that other countries, when the problems come, are going to say… let’s do it too.

…They’re going to go crazy the next time around.

It’s going to happen. Of course it’s going to happen…

It’s politicians who are telling you it’s a special case… oh, don’t worry, don’t worry, don’t worry.

What more do you need to know?

When politicians are saying ‘You don’t have to worry’…

Please, you better hurry, you better run for the hills. I’m doing it anyway.

I want to make sure that I don’t get trapped.

Think of all the poor souls that just thought they had a simple bank account. Now they find out that they are making a ‘contribution’ to the stability of Cyprus. The gall of these politicians.

Don’t trust any government. If you’re going to listen to government, you’re going to go bankrupt very quickly.

Like his friend and colleague Marc Faber who has recommended farmland and hard assets to protect oneself, Jim Rogers says it’s time to head for the hills. The fact is that Rogers has been a proponent of personal self reliance and farming since before the start of this crisis, having once argued that in the future it’ll be farmers who will be driving Ferraris, rather than Wall Street bankers. Like Faber, who lives in the remote hills of rural Thailand, Rogers also owns property outside of major cities and says hard assets (commodities) will be one of the few safe havens during a major crisis.

As students of history and economics, both Rogers and Faber understand that major cities are not the place to be when modern-day financial and convenience delivery systems fall apart.

Be as far outside of the blast radius as possible. It’s gonna’ get ugly.

  1. It is the ones who can’t afford to do anything that will be the so called sacrificial lambs. I have food and water but what good will that do with others who want what you have. I a way it would be best to part of the first gone at the beginning. I know where I will be, this will not be a good world to be in at this time. Will see what God has planed for me and mine.

    1. Nancy: God will take care of His Own…you can trust Him. We must prepare as best we can but then leave the outcome to Him…He knows your strengths, weaknesses, haves, have nots….He’s gotcha covered!! Psalm 91!!

    2. couldn’t agree more, this world is under Gods judgement, I remain close to our creator/savior, like you I will see what HE has planned for me.

    3. Come on! Do not be so silly. Get a good deer rifle and meet them at the door with your 30.06
      Screw them.
They waste their money on cable TV and cell phones and fast food. We all know what Americans are willing to pay every stinking month for cable TV. And virtually all these pitiful poor souls who are unable to store up food will also pay through the nose for endless cell phone upgrades and monthly plans. Also, the dats suggest that there is no decrease in the money wasted at fast food places.
As well, how much money are they wasting on cigarettes and booze and gambling?
NOBODY WILL GET WHAT I HAVE.
I forego all the above because I do not need them. I stopped smoking and drinking very shortly after I graduated college. I NEVER EAT OUT anymore ……never! I have never had cable TV and some years ago threw out the TV. It is all mindless garbage. I gambled one roll of nickels in my entire life.

I have a GREAT LIFE AND AM HAPPY AS A CLAM. MI ALSO TAKE CARE OF ALMOST 3 dozen dogs with medical problems at my sanctuary.

I am never wasteful because I know that many people in poor nations have nothing. We are so lucky here yet we waste what we have and call it entertainment and necessity. Yah, right…….explain that to some mom or dad in a third world country that watches their child starve to death. Then, urn around and tell me why you need that tv and cable, or that iphone and expensive plan, or why you can not stop smoking or drinking, or why t is ok to budget a certain amount of your money to gamble.
I AM NOT BUYING THE BS EXCUSES AMERICA.
GROW UP OR PAY THE PIPER WHEN THE SHTF.
      YOU ARE NOT GETTING MINE!

      1. I agree, we don’t have cable either. We are retired, and stream fromt he internet travel shows, suvivalist shows and other educational tv, local news. No cable trash. No one is getting mine either. People are responsible for their selves and family period.

  2. Yes I believe that God will protect his people , but also God gave us the mindset to protect ourselves , Jesus did say that we needed a sword to protect ourselves and if we did not have it to buy one , also it is said in the Bible to beat plowshares into swords , which to me means that we have to be able to protect ourselves also . There is a time of trials and tribulations coming not only in this country but the entire world , there is much conflict going on in this world right now and more on the way as Satan is pushing to take over this world , his minions are doing his biding right now . Be prepared and ready . Keep your powder dry .

  3. If these are the people (below) who are sitting on the top & along with their beautiful contributions towards humanity, then even God can’t stop the destruction of our planet! 🙁

  4. R.Edwin Shermer “Bible Code Bombshell” proves God is the author. So, prepare with God , guns and barter . However, when the judgement falls on the U.S.A. for the majority who give God the finger by their actions, some christians will also be thrust into eternity. Ca. EQ is any month now 100 million dead from wash. to Baja. tsunami 200 miles inland. Then month or so later , E. coast the same.
